The Data Portal provides a highly scalable, adaptable, and managed data infrastructure.
Infrastructure & Security
SOC2 Type 2 Audited
Roghnu has been SOC2 audited since 2022 and maintains the controls necessary to deliver a controlled and secure environment.
A SOC2 report can be provided upon request with a signed NDA.
Security
Encryption, HTTPS with server certificates, secure VPN, Okta logon authentication, and penetration-tested solutions are standard with our services.
Web data access through the Roghnu web application does not require VPN access and utilizes role-based user security with named users.
No PII, HIPAA, PCI, or Other Sensitive Data
Roghnu does not allow personally identifiable information (PII), HIPAA, PCI, or other sensitive data to be stored in the Data Warehouse.
Any included data must be redacted of sensitive information before being imported.
Data Retention Policies
Data can be purged at the customer’s discretion (e.g., over 7 years old).
Data retention rules must be defined per dataset.
If services are terminated, all data in all environments is destroyed no later than 30 days after termination.
Change Management & Control
Test, production, and backup environments ensure that data is managed for quality, reliability, backup and recovery, and continuity.
Roghnu manages all changes in alignment with its change management policy and procedures to ensure maximum uptime.

Secure Web Browser Access
Data is accessible via a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
Roghnu leverages Okta for multi-factor authentication and application access management.
Failover & Backups
Failover, backup, and recovery solutions ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
Initial 10 Roghnu Data Portal Users
The Data Portal Core subscription includes ten (10) named users with:
VPN access to the Roghnu Data Warehouse
ODBC / MS SQL connections for third-party tools (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Spreadsheet Server, etc.)
Access is role-based, with three default roles:
Administrator – User access maintenance
Application Admin – Setup and controls related to application data
User – Data reporting or general access
Dedicated & Secure Data WAREHOUSE
The Core Data Portal is built on a single-tenant Microsoft enterprise-encrypted database for each customer.
The core Data Warehouse is read-only but can be extended for read/write access with advanced functionality.
Base 100GB Server Storage
Base Data Warehouse storage is 100GB, covering:
Test, production, and backup environments
Unstructured file storage (e.g., SFTP source files, other non-database files)
Additional storage can be purchased in 100GB increments at any time.
Data Capacity Estimates:
~1 million rows of data ≈ 200MB
5 million rows ≈ 1GB
100GB can store ~500 million rows
Integration & data management
Direct Data Warehouse Access
Customers have direct access to their Data Warehouse database, providing flexibility in integration, performance tuning, and reporting.
Additional users can be added for a per-user fee.
Data Process Queuing & Monitoring
The Data Portal Core includes queuing and monitoring functionality for data processing workflows.
Scheduling of processes is managed by Roghnu personnel.
File-Based Integration (SFTP)
The Core Data Portal includes SFTP integration, allowing for the transfer of data to/from the Data Portal.
Roghnu will set up inbound/outbound directories for customers and third-party applications.
CSV File Import to the Data wAREHOUSE
A web-based CSV import tool allows customers to:
Import any CSV file into a defined database table
Append, merge, or replace data within the table
Imported data is immediately available for analysis and reporting.
Enumeration Application
A data mapping and transformation tool enables the conversion of integration data from source systems to the Data Warehouse.
Examples:
Convert HubSpot payment terms to Sage Intacct terms (e.g., HubSpot “N30” → Sage Intacct “Net 30”).
Convert a source financial journal chart of accounts to a destination system (e.g., Account 1009 → 10001).
Query Builder Application
A web-based SQL query tool for accessing Data Warehouse data.
Queries can be saved and shared with other users.
Data can be exported to CSV for further analysis.
Document Management Application
Supports unstructured file storage with a simple taxonomy for organizing files.
Setup & configuration
Setup
Roghnu will create a unified computing environment for the customer.
Each customer receives:
A dedicated database (e.g., acme_db)
Roghnu Portal access
FortiClient VPN setup instructions
Administrative Setup
Roghnu will configure one initial customer admin user with access to the Roghnu Okta environment.
All end-user management is performed by the customer.
Data Loading
The Core PaaS product is the foundation for the services delivered.
Customers can load CSV source data using the web-based file loading utility.
Subscription add-ons

Customers can add 100 gigabytes of additional storage for their Data Portal use. This storage applies to all usage types, including:
Test environments
Production data
Backups
Document management
This is in addition to the standard initial storage included in the Core Data Portal subscription.
Setup and Configuration
Roghnu will add the additional storage for the customer's use.
Roghnu will notify the customer when storage usage reaches 75% of capacity.
Assumptions and Responsibilities
If the customer's environment lacks adequate storage for required functionality or processing, an additional 100GB will be automatically added and billed in the following month.
If 100GB is insufficient, the customer will be notified for approval before adding further storage.
During this time, some functionality or processing may be temporarily inoperable until storage is increased.

Customers can add an additional named user beyond the 10 included users in the Core Data Portal subscription.
Users are set up in the OKTA environment and granted the appropriate role within the Data Portal. If permitted by the customer administrator, OKTA setup also includes VPN access.
Setup and Configuration
Customer manages users internally; Roghnu will set up Admin users only.
Roghnu will instruct the customer on how to set up users in the correct roles and types based on purchased licenses.
Roghnu will establish roles and assign security as appropriate for each customer role.
Customer will add and inactivate users as needed—users can be modified at any time.
User pricing is based on the net number of active users as of the first day of each month.
Assumptions and Responsibilities
Customer is responsible for creating Intacct users and assigning permissions.
Roghnu is responsible for creating and assigning roles for any advanced functionality or new features.
Customer must comply with Security Setup and Process Controls for both customer and Roghnu security requirements, ensuring proper authorization and deauthorization of users.

The Site-to-Site VPN allows customers to establish a direct connection to the Roghnu VPN, eliminating the need for manual VPN connections. This enhances data access efficiency while maintaining strong security controls.
The Site-to-Site VPN setup requires:
A one-time installation setup fee
An annual subscription fee
This fixed cost covers Roghnu’s coordination and engineering efforts to work with the customer’s managed services provider or internal IT team to establish and test the connection.
Setup and Configuration
Roghnu will connect the Fortinet VPN at the data center to the customer’s router/firewall.
The customer must provide internal network personnel with admin rights to complete the setup.
Setup is per site or per installation—any changes requiring a re-install will incur an additional setup fee.
Assumptions and Responsibilities
The customer must have a virtual VPN solution that is compatible with Fortinet virtual VPN connections.
The customer must have a technical resource or managed services provider with access to their router to configure security protocols.
The customer must comply with Security Setup and Process Controls for both Roghnu and customer security requirements, ensuring proper authorization and deauthorization of users.

User Management
Customers are responsible for setting up all approved users by role in the Roghnu Okta environment.
Security Compliance
Customers must complete the Security Setup & Process Controls document to ensure compliance.
Network Requirements
Customer networks must allow FortiClient VPN installation on user computers.
Installation requires computer administrator access.
